Τον Ιούνιο του 2020, το μήνα που άρχισαν να καταργούνται τα περιοριστικά μέτρα για την COVID-19 στα περισσότερα κράτη μέλη της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (ΕΕ), το εποχικά προσαρμοσμένο ποσοστό ανεργίας στην Ευρωζώνη ήταν 7.8%, από 7.7% το Μάιο του 2020. Το ποσοστό ανεργίας στην ΕΕ ήταν 7.1% τον Ιούνιο του 2020, από 7.0% τον Μάιο του 2020.
Η Eurostat εκτιμά ότι 15.023 εκατομμύρια άνδρες και γυναίκες στην ΕΕ, εκ των οποίων 12.685 εκατομμύρια στην Ευρωζώνη, ήταν άνεργοι τον Ιούνιο του 2020. Σε σύγκριση με τον Μάιο του 2020, ο αριθμός των ανέργων αυξήθηκε κατά 281000 στην ΕΕ και κατά 203000 στην Ευρωζώνη.
